Workplace Application
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to identify the best way that computers and local area networks (LANs) can be connected to make a wide area network (WAN). It applies to individuals working in the networking area, with excellent planning, information and communications technology (ICT) skills, who are required to research and recommend viable topologies for a WAN. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
